Today I received an email about old town white coffee not having a standardized price between its different outlet. This triggered me to write about old town here, but not for the reason above. Well, I have never step in to Old Town before and I think I will never do so in future. You may call me "lau beh" (hokkien word which means old-fashioned) or not up-to-date, I don't care anyway since I've been labelled "lau beh" by many of my friends long time ago...hehe
I'm not willing to pay triple or more the price of "hawker" food that can be found much more cheaper or even tastier at the normal hawker stalls or kopitiam. It's the ambient that attracts people, I know, but isn't our home the best place for us to savour our favourite food??? We have all the privacy and comfort at home that we can gobble down food hungrily without embarrassment and attention from others, and eating with one leg bent up on the chair, right?right? :D
I have no comments if your intention to dine in at Old Town is to meet-up with friends.
